From an early age I've had an interest in art. Fortunately for me, the school system in my home town of Findlay, Ohio, offered a wonderful art curriculum. My high school design teacher was instrumental in my decision to further my art education at Bowling Green State University in Ohio, where I majored in art with an area of specialization in graphic design. In 1981, after completing an internship with Dana Corporation in Toledo, Ohio, I was offered a full time position in their graphics department, where I remained for two years. After my husband and I were married in 1983, we moved to Massachusetts, where he was stationed with the Army until 1987. During that time, I worked in the Boston area in various design studios as a graphic designer/production artist. Our family then relocated to Atlanta, where I was hired as Art Director at Longstreet Press. It was there I learned the book design trade. In 1998 I formed Jill Dible Design, specializing in book design and production.
